Title : A Psychotic Child - Anny Cordié - book
Summary :
A psychotic child
When her parents first took her to the analyst, Sylvie was three years old. She was filled with anxiety and terror: she would not tolerate any contact; it was almost impossible to wash her or do her hair, she was screaming so much.
His parents have already consulted numerous specialists in the provinces, and the child has undergone multiple neurological examinations, which have not detected any abnormalities. The psychological tests, however, have all been "catastrophic."
The medical profession is unanimous: this is a serious developmental delay, which requires treatment. for life in a psychiatric hospital.
In desperation, the parents decided to come to Paris to seek advice from Françoise Dolto; it was she who referred them to Anny Cordié so that their child could begin psychoanalysis.
A psychotic child is the story of this treatment, which lasted eight years. It is also an attempt to define, based on the teachings of Jacques Lacan, the origin, structure and possible treatment of autism and psychosis.
