Title : Klara's No - Soazig Aaron - book
Summary :
This story is presented in the form of a diary, that of Angélika, Klara's friend and sister-in-law, who returns to Paris from Auschwitz after wandering around Europe in August 1945. The diary is organized around Klara's words, revealing, day after day, for a month, what she experienced. There are no lamentations, but she expresses coldly, forcefully, and violently her stupor and permanent anger, her inability to accept the codes of life that has returned to normal. She refuses to see her three-year-old daughter again and will leave, after a month, for America. There are few accounts of the return of the deportees and their difficult readjustment to daily life.
