Although I am a psychoanalyst, I would like to tell the reader from the outset that they will not find here a work, strictly speaking, of psychoanalysis. Rather, they will read many reflections that will awaken them, I hope, to the understanding of what anyone can hear, without any particular preparation or knowledge. I have always thought, for my part, that the role of the psychoanalyst is not limited to the treatment itself, nor to the selfish capitalization of knowledge, but extends, taking root in their experience of human suffering, beyond their office and their concepts, to their social and public activities, to their daily interventions. The words and writings of the psychoanalyst must be addressed above all to those who are struggling with real life. Their interventions must awaken adults, push them to seek the right attitude to take towards the difficulties of their children. This lively attitude, always alert, attentive, ready to react according to the truth, can prevent troubles, channel exchanges towards creativity and development and not towards dead ends. And prevention is better than cure.
