He would certainly mention Olga, a very pretty Russian woman he met at the beginning of his career, during a first exhibition of his photographic work based on Michelin road maps. This was before the worldwide success of the "professions" series, these portraits of personalities from all walks of life (including the writer Michel Houellebecq), captured in the exercise of their profession. He should also tell how he helped Commissioner Jasselin to solve a terrible criminal case, the terrifying staging of which left a lasting impression on the police teams. Towards the end of his life, he achieved a certain serenity, and only emitted murmurs. Art, money, love, the relationship with one's father, death, work, France becoming a tourist paradise are some of the themes of this novel, resolutely classic and openly modern.
