Title: THE BEAST, Hunt in Gévaudan - board game
Summary :
The Beast is an asymmetrical game pitting a player taking on the role of the Beast of Gévaudan against one or more players embodying historical Investigators in Lozère, France, in the 18th century. To win, the Beast must kill at least 25 people before the end of the game, which takes place season after season for 3 years. The Investigator(s) must either prevent it from doing so or unmask it by identifying its secret identity.
Each round, a seasonal event occurs, the Beast plans its attack, the investigators move, the Beast may or may not cause casualties, and finally, the investigators inspect their location.
Each investigator specializes in one identity of the Beast: for example, the Bishop of Mende will be able to identify a demon, while the King's envoy will more easily unmask if the culprit is human in nature.
