Wanted in Texas for killing his father's killer, Martin Brady now lives in Mexico where he provides protection to Cipriano Castro, a corrupt politician. Wounded during a mission, he receives medical care from Major Colton and his wife, Ellen. Once recovered, he later encounters the same Colton, engaged in a full-blown war against the Indians, a conflict in which Castro also takes part. Soon, carried by the love of the now-widowed Ellen, Brady intends to abandon his life as a drifting gunfighter. This decision, Castro does not accept.
