Mid-1990s. Young Billy Graves is a cop on a crime squad in one of the worst districts of the Bronx. Today, Billy has become the leader of a night shift for the NYPD. His daily life: crisscrossing the streets of New York, from Wall Street to Harlem, ensuring its safety, even though he knows that some criminals will always slip through the net. These criminals, he nicknames "whites," those who get away with it. Every police officer has one who obsesses him.
Then comes a call that changes everything: a murder has taken place at Penn Station. And the victim is none other than the white of one of his former teammates. When another white is murdered, Billy begins to wonder: could someone be settling scores? And who is this man who suddenly seems interested in his wife and children, to the point of tailing them?
