Let us remember. On May 21, 1996, seven monks who came to Algeria, to the monastery of Tibhirine, had their throats slit by members of the GIA.

René Guitton spent his childhood in North Africa, immersed himself in the religions of Abraham, and experienced with emotion the presence of the Church in the land of Islam. After the tragedy, he felt the need to seek the truth. Aided by the testimonies of the victims' families, the highest religious authorities, Christian and Muslim, politicians, secret services, and anonymous witnesses, he unraveled the threads of this tragic imbroglio.

Both a quest and an investigation, this work aims to seek the light as did Christian, Christophe, Luc, Paul, Michel, Bruno and Célestin, the seven monks of Tibhirine.
