Title : Universal Constants - Gilles Cohen-Tannoudji - book
Summary :
The universal constants are Newton's constant G, Boltzmann's constant k, the speed of light c, and Planck's constant h. These constants play a fundamental role in structuring physics, in organizing it into autonomous disciplines when considered separately, and in unifying it when two, three, or even all four are considered simultaneously. Physics may have introduced other constants throughout its history, but I believe that only G, k, c, and h play such a role. In my view, universal constants express the fundamental limitations of human knowledge, limits as inevitable, inalienable, but also shiftable as horizons.
