I sit there to try to feel this thin thread of time that carries us throughout our existence.

After a moment of silence, thoughts come to mind that extend my constant questioning of the world. Meditating on this world that amazes me, fascinates me, and worries me all at once is also a way of seeking reassurance.

This book is intended for all those who wonder about the great mystery of the reality into which we are projected for a time. I want to share here my thoughts on themes that are close to my heart. I seek to express what emerges from my life experiences and my work as an astrophysicist, to deliver to those who do me the honor of being interested my intimate convictions, those which play a major role for each of us when we have to judge a situation or make a concrete decision.
