Summary :
Most of the exercises covered in this book can be solved using the knowledge of the final year of science – this does not mean that they are applications of the course. Some have been the subject of oral tests in the competitive examinations for major scientific or business schools or have been set in the general mathematics competition, others are exercises from the CAPES oral examination.
This book is aimed at students considering studies where mathematics plays an important role.
The authors added theoretical definitions of continuity and limits, which are not included in the secondary school curriculum but are used in higher education. They also illustrated these definitions with appropriate exercises.
The authors have introduced some rudiments of logic in order to familiarize readers with the use of quantifiers.
